2008 Schedule of Events

The F. W. Vanderbilt Garden Association is a non-profit organization, which is entirely self supporting. We receive no funds from the National Park Service, nor the federal or state governments. Therefore, we depend heavily on various fund raising events throughout the year. Besides raising the money needed to maintain the gardens, these events are a lot of fun too.

Peddler's Cart Opens - Late April

Plant Sale - May 24-26 (Memorial Day Weekend) 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Location: Next to Vanderbilt Mansion Visitor's Center

A wide variety of plants for sale including perennials, annuals and shrubs. Many plants come from the Vanderbilt gardens, others supplied by volunteers from personal gardens.

Rose Garden Party - June 21, rain date June 22

Location: Italian Gardens, Vanderbilt Mansion Historic Site

Fall Plant Sale - Sept. 28-29

Location: Next to Vanderbilt Mansion Visitor's Center

This plant sale will feature bulbs, mums and other autumn plants.
